Admittedly it wasn't the most dramatic thing that happened in that extraordinary episode, and it only lasted a second. Even so, a cool little easter egg for eagle-eyed viewers: one of the musicians playing during the wedding feast at the home of Walder Frey was Coldplay drummer Will Champion.

It's not the first time a musician has appeared in a cameo role on Game Of Thrones. Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody popped up briefly as a soldier, earlier in season three.
