Season-long victor CBS shares its May sweep win with ABC and Fox. The three networks finished the competitive month averaging a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49.
All three of the networks were down from the same period last year, with Fox losing the most (25 percent) -- and fourth place NBC managed to post some growth with a 1.7 rating in the final rankings, making for an exceptionally even spread.

NBC had The Voice in its corner, fueling the boost, while a lackluster start after the pre-sweep break was largely to blame for CBS and ABC's year-to-year dips. Fox had its steep losses with American Idol, which hurt it even more among total viewers.
As for the 2012-13 averages, they were largely unaffected by the final three days of the season and this week's preliminary rankings in adults 18-49 are unaltered.
