Bill Hader is leaving “Saturday Night Live.”
The comedian tells the New York Times, “It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point.”
“It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go,’” he adds.
Hader, whose best known on the show for his impressions of Al Pacino and James Carville and his role of “Weekend Update” city correspondent Stefon, joined “SNL” in 2005.
His last appearance on the series will be on next Saturday’s season finale.
