The first trailer for Captain Phillips debuted on Wednesday.

The film is based on the real-life hijacking of an American cargo ship by Somali pirates in 2009, and stars Tom Hanks as Captain Richard Phillips. Catherine Keener and Max Martini co-star.
The movie opens on October 11.
