Amber Holcomb’s American Idol exit was an emotional one as the 19-year-old struggled to maintain her composure during her final song on season 12.

After the show, she was still having trouble keeping a straight face, but that was mostly due to The Hollywood Reporter’s special Idol correspondent Casey Abrams, himself a graduate of season 10 -- who only made it to sixth place, as he told Holcomb in an attempt to lift her spirits.
