Fashion is fickle, but some trends last longer than others. BuzzFeed used Google Trends to estimate the lifespans of fashion fads. Google Trends measures how many people are searching for a particular term on a scale from 0 to 100. We counted from the point when a fad passed 50 — the halfway mark of popularity — til the point it hit 100 and began dropping. Below, 11 recent trends from shortest-lived to longest:
