Jason Collins busy week will include an Oprah interview.
The NBA player, who, in an essay for Sports Illustrated, became the first active male athlete in a major U.S. sports league to publicly say that he is gay, will be appearing on Oprah Winfrey's OWN in an interview to be aired on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Collins, a 12-year-veteran who most recently played for the Washington Wizards, will appear on a episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter" along with his brother, Jarron, formerly an NBA player with the Utah Jazz, his parents and friends, the network said.
In addition to the SI cover, Collins' media appearances include an interview with anchor George Stephanopoulos that aired on Good Morning America and a conversation with ESPN's Bill Simmons for a Grantland B.S. Report podcast.
