“Kate Upton vehemently denied she was dating Diddy in early April, and now we know why — she’s been seeing Justin Bieber’s best friend, King Kevi!” begins a piece from HollywoodLife fraught with faulty logic.
Jay Penske’s webloid quotes a purported “insider” as saying, “Kevi and Kate have been hanging out for a while. They hang out a lot, she’s a cool girl. At every party, he has a lot of girls hanging around him, but when he is with Kate, he just wants to be with her.”
Uh-huh.
According to this so-called “source,” “It’s a low key thing. She doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, and neither does he.”
He doesn’t?
That’s odd, because TMZ reported earlier this month that Kevi allegedly staged photos of himself outside of Selena Gomez’s house, and leaked them to various blogs — when Gomez was not even home – allegedly in an effort to link himself to the “Come & Get It” singer.
Anyway, HollywoodLife’s supposed spy claims Upton and Kevi “are really into each other though,” adding, “He is going to New York now to see her. They both want to keep it low key, they won’t go public. They’re just having fun and living life, they dont want titles.”
Here’s a title: BOGUS.
Gossip Cop received the same “tip” about Upton allegedly dating Kevi, and we ignored it because we knew it wasn’t legitimate.
HollywoodLies, er, HollywoodLife, on the other hand, doesn’t care about whether or not a report is accurate so long as it’s dramatic (and we suspect having Bieber’s name in there doesn’t hurt, either).
Regardless, we checked in with an Upton insider, who tells us it’s 100 percent “not true” that the supermodel is in any way involved with Kevi.
We’re sure in a few hours HollywoodLife will do a 180, and claim “exclusive details” about Kevi and Upton not dating, having stolen Gossip Cop’s reporting.
