Ryan Lochte Interview Sends Morning Show Anchors Into Hysterics (Video)

Ryan Lochte nearly derailed a live morning show in Philadelphia with his, um, sparkling personality.

The Olympic champion swimmer, whose new E! show What Would Ryan Lochte Do? debuts Sunday, gave an interview to Good Day Philly on Thursday morning where he dropped such bon mots as: "My philosophy is if you're a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning." (It had something to do with his ability to party all night and continue training the next day.)

Lochte also struggled to answer some of the questions. When asked what kind of pickup line would get his attention from a member of the opposite sex, his response was five seconds of complete silence -- an eternity in live TV.

He also told a scintillating story about adjusting to being followed by cameras 24/7.

"The first couple days, it was a little weird. I mean, I was brushing my teeth and the camera was there. I was like, 'What are you guys doing?'" So the cameras were allowed in the bathroom? "I mean I guess there's like a (pause) mirror with a sink, and you have the bathroom."

The anchors managed to hold it together until Lochte signed off, and then they both burst out laughing.

"Seriously, how are they gonna get enough material [for an entire season]?" asked an incredulous Mike Jerrick.

Sheinelle Jones, meanwhile, was brought to tears and could barely speak.

"He is good-looking," she managed to spit out by way of finding something nice to say.
