Extended coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing continues on Tuesday night, with the broadcast networks beefing up their presence in the city with anchors and correspondents on location.
After a one-hour extension of its Monday broadcast, ABC World News will again air from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Anchor Diane Sawyer remains in New York, but Nightline's Terry Moran, Good Morning America's Josh Elliott and Brian Ross and GMA Weekend's Dan Harris and Linsey Davis will all be in Boston contributing to the reports.
ABC News will continue its coverage of tragedy in late night with a special edition of Nightline that Moran will anchor from Boston.
Monday's special 90-minute outing of CBS Evening News will not give a repeat performance. A show rep confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that the episode will air in its regularly scheduled time slot -- though anchor Scott Pelley has traveled to Boston.
As for NBC, the Peacock was the only broadcast network to move its news coverage into primetime on Monday night at 10 p.m. after airing an extended Nightly News in its regular slot. Brian Williams, also anchoring from Boston, will helm the half-hour broadcast.
