“Ashton Kutcher just got dumped from his years-long gig as spokesperson for Nikon cameras,” reports the National Enquirer.
According to the tabloid, the actor was dropped for allegedly getting too “greedy — demanding DOUBLE his multimillion [dollar] salary to renew his contract.”
“Infuriated by his hoggish arrogance, Nikon didn’t even try to renegotiate,” claims the Enquirer, which says the company is “searching for a hunky — and cheaper — unknown to replace the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star.”
It turns out the magazine is just as sloppy reporting on Kutcher’s professional life as it is on his personal life.
He has not been dropped by Nikon.
A company spokesperson says, “Ashton Kutcher remains a key part of Nikon’s advertising campaign and we have no changes to announce with regards to our relationship with him.”
