NBC has secured Carson Daly's place on its late-night schedule.
The network on Wednesday renewed Last Call with Carson Daly for a 13th season. The news comes as NBC has been examining its late-night lineup, bringing in Jimmy Fallon to replace Jay Leno at The Tonight Show.
"We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Carson who has broken the mold, creating his own unique late-night show format with Last Call,“ BBC president of alternative and late-night programming Paul Telegdy said in making the announcement. “The show has become a platform for emerging artists – and Carson’s engaging interview style has made it the place for insightful conversations with an eclectic group of new stars as well as established icons and news makers."

NBC touted the weeknight series, which airs at 1:35 a.m., as the youngest-skewing weeknight late-night series on the broadcast networks, noting Daly introduces audiences to unusual stories via its on-location and man on the street format.

"I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to collaborate with this incredible team. The news comes amid NBC's late-night shake-up, with a recent New York Times report suggesting 30 Rock alum Alec Baldwin was being eyed to host a series that would take over Last Call's time slot.
NBC officially confirmed The Hollywood Reporter's reports that Fallon would move from Late Night to take over for the retiring Jay Leno as the host of The Tonight Show in the spring as the late-night staple moves to New York under executive producer Lorne Michaels.
Last Call hails from Universal Television and EPs Stewart Bailey and Guy Oseary.
