Rebecca Jarvis is departing her post as co-anchor of CBS This Morning Saturday to become chief business and economics correspondent at ABC News.
Making the announcement Tuesday, ABC News president Ben Sherwood said: "Deeply knowledgeable about financial news, Rebecca is a versatile and aggressive reporter who will contribute immensely across every program and platform."
Jarvis, also business and economics correspondent for CBS, has been with the network since April 2010. She joins ABC starting later this month.
Jarvis previously covered the market news beat as a reporter for CNBC and has also appeared on MSNBC and NBC News to cover the Wall Street crisis as well as Bernie Madoff. Among her high-profile interview subjects: Warren Buffett, Sheryl Sandberg and Twitter's Jack Dorsey.
CBS News has not settled on a replacement yet; they will have correspondents rotate opposite CBS This Morning Saturday anchor Anthony Mason.
