Mark Gordon, ABC Studios Prep Time-Travel Drama

Mark Gordon is heading into the future.

Through his overall deal at ABC Studios, The Mark Gordon Company has forged a joint venture with Sonar Entertainment to produce Fix It Men, a drama created by John Glenn. Under the terms of the deal, ABC Studios will tackle distribution in North America while Sonar does so for the rest of the world.

The hour-long entry centers on a scientist and a special-forces soldier from a post-apocalyptic future who travel in time to our present day and into their younger selves in an effort to forestall Armageddon. They must alter a series of seemingly random events that form the chain leading to the catastrophe. Miss any one and all will be lost.

Fix It Men is destined to be a buzzed about series. It’s original and will have trend-setting production values. Combining a brilliant writer like John Glenn with Mark Gordon’s top-notch producing team and Stewart Till’s international sales expertise is the recipe for a high quality drama,” said executive vp ABC Studios creative and production Barry Jossen in a statement announcing the news Tuesday.

Added Sonar Entertainment CEO Stewart Till: “Fix It Men is a fast-paced story that combines action and suspense. It has universal appeal that will grab and hold onto any audience looking to be entertained, captivated and surprised. We are really looking forward to taking Fix It Men out to the international marketplace.”

Glenn’s previous writing credits include the screenplay for the film Eagle Eye, starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan and Rosario Dawson.

For his part, Gordon counts among his small-screen productions Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Showtime's upcoming Ray Donovan starring Liev Schreiber as a professional fixer.

Sonar recently teamed with Heroes' Tim Kring to develop a conspiracy thriller entitled The Drake Equation. The company is also working with The Departed's William Monoghan on a period drama for Starz.
