The six-episode series centers on two successful video game entrepreneurs, Eli and Warner (The Mindy Project's Tommy Dewey), in their thirties who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them.

Green -- who created Adult Swim's Robot Chicken -- will portray Eli, a man who hasn't grown up but who built a successful video game business with Warner, who now must cope with taking in his father (Peter Riegert) as a roommate.

Ted's Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild are on board to serve as writers on Dads, with Seth MacFarlane on board to executive produce the 20th Television multicamera comedy. The Big Bang Theory's Mark Cendrowski will direct the pilot. Brenda Song, Tonita Castro and Martin Mull co-star.

The casting re-teams MacFarlane with Green, who voices Chris Griffin and a slew of other roles on Fox's Family Guy. The deal comes a two weeks after Lucasfilm postponed Green's animated Star Wars Detours series.

Green is repped by UTA, Koopman Management and Sloane Offer. Adult Swim renewed Robot Chicken for a seventh season, set to premiere this year.
