Martin Mull Boards Fox Comedy From ‘Ted’ Writers

Fox has added its second father for Dads.

Roseanne and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch alum Martin Mull has joined the cast of the live-action series from Seth MacFarlane and the writers behind Ted, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The six-episode series centers on two successful video game entrepreneurs, Eli and Warner (The Mindy Project's Tommy Dewey), in their thirties who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them.

Mull will play Crawford, the father to Warner (The Mindy Project's Tommy Dewey). He's a man who's always been the bane of Warner's existence, and ever since he's come to live with their family, Crawford has blithely and happily ignored all the chaos he's caused, while Warner's already-jagged nerves have been simply shredded by his failed attempts to predict his unpredictable daddy's next disastrous move.

Ted's Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild are on board to serve as writers on the six-episode series, with Seth MacFarlane on board to executive produce the 20th Television multi-camera comedy. The Big Bang Theory's Mark Cendrowski will direct the pilot.

Brenda Song and Peter Riegert co-star. Mull is repped by Gersh, N2N Entertainment and Anonymous Content. The casting reunites him with MacFarlane, for whom he did voice work on Family Guy and American Dad.
