TV Ratings: ‘American Idol’ Leads Slow Wednesday Night

American Idol led Fox to an easy win on a relatively uneventful Wednesday night. The two-hour episode was up from Tuesday's outing and off two tenths of a point from last Wednesday, pulling a 3.7 rating with adults 18-49. The broadcast averaged 12.7 million viewers.

Averaging a 1.9 adults rating and 7.9 million viewers, CBS aired mostly repeats -- though an original Survivor (2.5 adults) at 8 p.m. was down a tenth of a point from last week.

Again sandwiching originals of The Neighbors (1.7 adults) and Suburgatory (1.7 adults) in between encores, ABC saw the former steady with the previous week -- while the 9:30 p.m. comedy dropped a half of a point to a series low without an original Modern Family lead-in. ABC averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers.

Whitney (1.3 adults) was up by a tenth of a point at 8 p.m. on NBC, leading into a solid block of repeats. The network pulled a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers.

Encores of Arrow and Supernatural brought the CW a 0.4 adults rating and 1.4 million viewers.

Univision outperforming all but Fox and CBS, averaged a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers.
