‘90210’ Actress Joins ABC’s ‘Reckless’

Lyndon Smith is hopping from the CW to ABC.

The relative newcomer, who has been recurring on the final season of the CW's 90210, has joined the cast of ABC's drama pilot Reckless, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

STORY: TV Pilots 2013: The Complete Guide

From ABC Studios, Reckless follows staid engineer David Ritter, whose wife, Sarah, goes missing during a military coup in East Myanmar. He casts off his generally careful demeanor and risks everything to get her back, including embezzling money from his powerful father-in-law's company to hire a mercenary.

Smith will play Allie, the smart and conscientious sister to Sarah, who often competes against her brother Ryan (Lou Taylor Pucci). She's recently taken an internship at her father Tom's business and is a bit of a teacher's pet. She's anxious to see her sister rescued but skeptical of her brother-in-law David's attempt that he saw her on YouTube.

Mad Men's Chris Black will pen the pilot and executive produce alongside Casino Royale's Martin Campbell, who will direct the ABC Studios pilot. Smith joins a cast that also includes Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous), Naveen Andrews (Lost), Parminder Nagra, Ernie Hudson, Eloise Mumford and Ashton Holmes.

Smith is repped by Buchwald/Fortitude, Main Title and McKuin Frankel.
