Did Kate Middleton just reveal she’s having a girl?
The pregnant royal has been tight-lipped about her baby’s gender, but may have dropped a major hint on Tuesday while visiting the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England.
According to local reports, after a local named Diane Burton presented the Duchess with a white teddy bear, Middleton responded, “Thank you, I’ll take that for my d–” before cutting herself off.
When another well wisher asked whether she’d been about to say “daughter,” the royal is said to have responded, “No, we don’t know.”
Pressed again, Middleton reportedly said, “We’re not telling.”
Whether her slip of the tongue was an accidental revelation, an intentional fake-out (or completely misheard) may not be clear, but the world will know soon enough the royal baby’s gender.
