Here’s a rumor designed by another blog to create controversy.
According to multiple outlets, Demi Lovato is pursuing romance with Robert Pattinson.
You read that correctly.
The speculation seems to have started from a years-old interview in which Selena Gomez purportedly revealed Lovato’s crush on Pattinson, and Lovato’s more recent comments about wanting to perform for her Australian fans.
Pattinson, of course, is currently in the country filming The Rover.
That’s the extent of the link between the two stars.
Somehow, Celeb Dirty Laundry used these unrelated facts to report “there is a chance that something is brewing” between Pattinson and Lovato.
“Where better for Rob and Demi to meet up then (sic) in another country, far from the U.S. Paparazzi that would never give them a minute of privacy to determine if a second date was even worth the bother?” blathers the blog.
Amazingly, other unreliable outlets, including Hollyscoop and OK!, then repeated the speculation, wondering whether Lovato was “getting in between” Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
This is incredibly lame, even for those two incredibly lame sites.
Needless to say, there’s absolutely no truth to the rumors linking Pattinson and Lovato.
Not only will Pattinson be leaving Australia soon, but there are no firm plans for Lovato to visit in the first place.
A source close to Lovato dismissed the speculation, calling it “wrong.”
