Fox on Friday released a promo of the couch gag on the upcoming episode of The Simpsons, which features Homer Simpson singing the lyrics to Baauer's "Harlem Shake." A helmeted Maggie then begins the frenetic dance, as the rest of the family is oblivious to their youngest. In true Simpsons fashion, the whole town joins in as the bass drops and the screen pans to a larger view of everyone from Mayor Quimby to Sideshow Bob dancing to the beat.

2013's newest dance phenomenon has generated millions of YouTube hits, with urban teens, college athletes and even the NBA's Miami Heat creating videos. On Thursday, a clip of a group of Ultimate Frisbee players dancing on an airplane even prompted a probe by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Baauer's single has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row now, due in large part to the stratospheric number of YouTube streams.
