“Jen Demands A Wedding,” reads an absolutely ridiculous headline from OK! about Jennifer Aniston.
Seriously, how does one “demand” a wedding? Doesn’t the groom have to like, consent, or something?
The magazine, which over the past few months has repeatedly — and wrongly — reported the actress was pregnant with twins, now claims Aniston is “insisting on a quickie ceremony, possibly in the L.A. office of her agent, Kevin Huvane, that could cost little more than the $85 needed to obtain a confidential marriage license.”
Um…
Why on earth would Aniston want to get married in an office building?!
A supposed “pal” of the actress explains, “Jen had a big to-do when she tied the knot with Brad [Pitt], and isn’t keen on going through all that again.”
The purported “friend” tells the mag that neither Aniston nor her fiancé Justin Theroux “wants to make a big deal out of it,” adding, “And what better place than an anonymous office block in the middle of L.A.?”
Uh, we can think of a number of better places — starting with Aniston and Theroux’s amazing L.A. mansion.
Anyhow, the so-called “source” goes on to claim the Horrible Bosses star “will have a huge bump” for the ceremony, noting, “She and Justin are joking about it being a ‘shotgun wedding.’”
Wow.
OK! is still reporting that Aniston is pregnant even though, by its count, the actress should have a toddler in her stomach right now?
Unbelievable.
In any case, the mag further adds that “Jen and Justin are keeping their marriage plans secret from all except their close family and friends, and will let the news leak out a few days afterward.”
So we’re to presume tabloid’s “insider” is in this small category of close family and friends?
Ha!
This report is utterly preposterous.
Still, Gossip Cop checked with a rep for Aniston — who is her agent Kevin’s brother — and he told us the wedding story was ridiculous, joking, “It’s going to be in my bathroom!”
