TV Ratings: ‘The Bachelor’ Hits Monday High, ‘2 Broke Girls’ Tops Night

Though it started the night with a substantial dip for How I Met Your Mother, CBS topped another Monday in adults 18-49 (2.8 adults) and total viewers (9.6 million). At 8 p.m., HIMYM (3.2 adults) was off eight tenths of a point from last week's hyped episode. Rules of Engagement (2.8 adults) dropped three tenths of a point from its premiere, and 2 Broke Girls (3.5 adults) was off by only two tenths from last week. The latter was also the top-rated program of the night across networks. Mike & Molly (2.9 adults) was off three tenths from its last original, with Hawaii Five-0 (2.1 adults) also down by two tenths.

ABC saw boosts across the board with The Bachelor (2.7 adults) and Castle (2.0 adults). The reality show was up three tenths of a point for a Monday season high, while Castle grew two tenths from last week. The network averaged a second place 2.5 adults rating and 8.6 million viewers.

Bones (2.2 adults) and The Following (2.4 adults) were both down from the previous week -- with the latter dropping a half of a point in its fourth episode. Fox averaged a 2.3 rating in the key demo and 8.2 million viewers.

On NBC, The Biggest Loser (2.0 adults) was down by a tenth of a point for a season low. Deception (1.3 adults) recouped two tenths of a point from last week's dip. NBC averaged a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers.

The Carrie Diaries (0.6 adults) dropped a tenth of a point from last week's series high. 90210 (0.3 adults) was also down a tenth, giving the CW an average 0.5 adults rating and 988,000 viewers for the night.

Univision averaged a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers.
