The serial fabricators at HollywoodLife have sunk even lower.
After falsely linking Robert Pattinson to Dree Hemingway (with a b.s. story the site was forced to pull), weirdly sensationalizing his random photo op with a fan, and repeatedly — and wrongly — declaring that he and Kristen Stewart are on a “trial separation,” the facts-allergic webloid is getting even more desperate.
Jay Penske’s HollywoodLies, er, HollywoodLife, now claims to have “revealed” Pattinson’s secret “lover.”
Oh, really?
Who is it?
The site can’t say — because the woman is “unidentified.”
In other words, HollywoodLife, which has already proven itself too careless and lazy to use Google, is also apparently too busy peddling nonsense to crack a dictionary and learn the meaning of “revealed.”
The only thing “revealed” in the blog’s new fan fiction is an embarrassing lack of journalistic integrity.
HollywoodLife’s fantasy writers claim to have found a “gorgeous staffer” at a “private L.A. club” who met Pattinson last summer during his split from Stewart and allegedly became his “rebound lover.”
The “part-time model” tells the site, “I hooked-up with Rob twice last summer and I’d give him a 10 for sure. He’s a great kisser and really sweet, but he still totally knows how to take charge.”
“We were drinking a lot both times but he had no problems in the bedroom, we stayed up almost all night the first time,” continues the anonymous woman.
Uh-huh.
Great quotes.
Say, what dates did these rendezvouses supposedly happen?
Neither the “model” nor HollywoodLife says.
Oh, and which “club” was the alleged meeting spot?
Neither the “model” nor HollywoodLife says.
And why is this only coming out months after the hookups purportedly happened?
Neither the “model” nor HollywoodLife says.
When there are absolutely no specifics given in a story, it’s a pretty good clue the rumor is fabricated.
And when HollywoodLife is the “exclusive” source for a rumor with zero specifics and fake-sounding quotes, the case is pretty much closed.
Nothing in the webloid’s ghastly track record of wild speculation and gross sensationalism would suggest that HollywoodLife has any problem taking a random person’s fake story about Robert Pattinson and running it as the truth.
This is another case of HollywoodLife being happily duped and then passing along the “story” to readers.
Pathetic.
