Barbara Walters was released from a New York hospital on Tuesday, one day after it was revealed the veteran journalist has the chicken pox.

“The View” co-host is now recovering at home, and “getting stronger,” ABC said in a statement.

It is not yet known when Walters will be able to return to work.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Walters was initially hospitalized in Washington, D.C. after falling at a pre-inauguration party on January 19.

She later came down with a fever, was transferred to a New York hospital, and was diagnosed with the chicken pox.

We’ll continue to have updates.
