Fox's The Following has some promising news in its second outing. Fast National returns have the freshman thriller up a tenth of a point from last week's premiere showing, giving it a 3.3 rating with adults 18-49. If the number sticks, it will be the only new series this season to grow in its second episode. Its lead-in, Bones, saw even more growth. The recently renewed drama was up three tenths of a point to a season high of a 2.6 rating with adults 18-49. The network won the night with adults 18-49 (2.9 rating) and total viewers (9.6 million).
