NBC is adding to its comedy portfolio with another workplace comedy from The Office producer Greg Daniels.

The network ordered to pilot the Untitled Owen Ellickson and Craig Robinson single-camera project, which centers around a talented musician (Robinson) who adjusts to his new life as a middle school music teacher, where he maneuvers precocious kids, teacher politics, and the temptations of single moms.

Ellickson, a supervising producer on The Office, is set to write and executive produce the pilot for Universal TV, Daniels' Deedle Dee Production and 3 Arts Entertainment. Daniels will executive produce alongside Deedle Dee's Tracy Katsky, 3 Arts' Howard Klein and Mark Schulman. Robinson will serve as a producer on the project.

With The Office coming to an end later this season, NBC brass has been vocal about its desire to broaden its comedy fare. At this stage of the development season, the net has 11 additional half hour pilots in contention, including Joe, Joe & Jane, Jason Katim's About a Boy adaptation and an untitled Sean Hayes project.

For Daniels, this marks his second pilot order this season. He also has an untitled effort set up at NBC with The Office's Robert Padnick. The latter revolves around the trials and tribulations of dating in your 20s as told through a group of friends.

Daniels is repped by WME, 3 Arts and Ziffren Brittenham; Robinson is repped by UTA and 3 Arts.
