Charlie Sheen doesn't think his former Two and a Half Men co-star Angus T. Jones is "crazy" for his recent remarks calling the CBS comedy "filth."
"I get it, it's a weird place and people tend to have a different perspective on life working over there," the fired Men star told The Hollywood Reporter during a Fox party at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour.

"He's a good kid and maybe he's just going through a phase but it's hard to comment on something if I'm not there," added Sheen, whose FX comedy Anger Management will return for the first of 90 more episodes on Jan. 17. "I don't think he's crazy, I just think he's a little maybe over-influenced in some other beliefs. I don't know but it seemed like he was doing all right; I like the apology his lawyers wrote for him -- that was pretty good."
In November, Jones suggested the Chuck Lorre comedy on which he has starred on for 10 seasons was promoting the word of Satan in a YouTube clip published by Forerunner.
"A lot of people don't like to think about how deceptive the enemy is," Jones said in the now infamous clip, which went viral late last year. "There's no playing around when it comes to eternity ... People will see us and be like, 'I can be a Christian and be on a show like Two and a Half Men.' You can't. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't."

He continued: "If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you, you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch."
The 19-year-old actor quickly issued a lengthy apology to colleagues, Lorre, CBS and producer Warner Bros. Television for the remarks, noting that he never intended his comments as a sign of disrespect. Sheen called Jones' rant a "Hale-Bopp-like meltdown" and noted Men was cursed.

Now, a week before launching the second, 90-episode season of FX's Anger Management, Sheen is opening the doors to both Jones and another former Men co-star -- newly minted lead actor in a comedy Emmy winner Jon Cryer.
"We're making an offer right now: Come on over, Angus. He's a really good kid, I miss him," Sheen told THR. "Come one, come all. [Cryer] is welcome anytime; he's a genius and I miss him. He's a good man."
Anger Management returns Jan. 17 on FX.
