In the aftermath of the shooting massacre in Connecticut, Syfy has pulled Friday’s planned episode of the supernatural drama “Haven,” which featured a plot involving violence in a high school.

“Tonight’s scheduled 10 p.m. episode of Haven contained scenes of fictitious violence in a high school. In light of today’s tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, we have decided not to air it,” announced the network in a statement. “At this time, no decision has been made as to when the episode will air.”

A repeat of “Eureka” will air in place of “Haven.”

Early Friday, a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook elementary school, killing 26 people (including 20 small children), and leading to an outpouring of grief on Twitter and a tearful statement from President Obama.
