Apparently by design, it was a mystery what Stephen Colbert would do with the very real funds his real Super PAC had accumulated during the course of this year's election season.
Some $773,704.83 was leftover in the Comedy Central host's Americans For a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow PAC -- and it will be donated to superstorm Sandy recovery efforts and "groups fighting for campaign finance reform," the host explained on his show last night.

"Tonight, I'm proud and somewhat shocked to announce that the Ham Rove Memorial foundation will be giving $125,000 each to Donors Choose Sandy relief fund, Team Rubicon's Sandy outreach, and Habitat for Humanity which is building houses for storm victims," Colbert announced.
Ham Rove is the fictitious "chief strategist and principal lunch meat for Colbert Super PAC" as the host reminded viewers during the segment.
"The fund is also giving $125,000 to the Yellow Ribbon fund, which helps injured servicemembers and their families," Colbert stated. "The remainder of the money, as per Ham Rove's wishes, will be split between the Center for Responsive Politics and the Campaign Legal Center."
The Comedy Central host also joked in a press release (via Business Insider) that the pro-transparency groups "were both fine with the corrupting influence of outside money in their offices."

After the presidential election, the faux conservative host gave an interview to Playboy where he stated that he could do whatever he wanted with his extra Super PAC funds. "I can spend it on anything I want. I could use my super PAC money to buy a private jet, and I have to justify it to no one," he said.
