BOX OFFICEThe James Bond blockbuster Skyfall is expected to win a very tight weekend box office, narrowly leading a group of holdovers that keep ruling the top half of the chart.
Skyfall is tracking toward $11 million for the top spot, beating the animated Rise of the Guardians, which should hit $10.5 million for second place.
Meanwhile, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is neck and neck with historical drama Lincoln and modern fable Life of Pi for the #3 spot.
All three movies are projected to be near $8.5 million.
The new Gerard Butler-Jessica Biel film Playing For Keeps should debut to approximately $6 million and sixth place.
Wreck-It Ralph ($4.5 million), Red Dawn ($4.1 million), Flight ($3.1 million) and Killing Them Softly ($2.8 million) should round out the Top 10.
