McCreery joins a growing list of Idol alums who've helped light up the Rockefeller Christmas tree, including season seven winner David Cook, season five runner-up Katharine McPhee, season four winner Carrie Underwood and season one champion Kelly Clarkson.
McCreery is supporting his latest CD, Christmas With Scotty, and performed in the Big Apple last week with a Friday night bow at the Beacon Theatre, that doubled as a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief.
