CBS led a quiet Thanksgiving Eve, averaging a 2.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 10.5 million viewers. According to fast affiliate numbers, special broadcasts of Survivor (2.3 adults rating), Criminal Minds (2.7 adults rating) and CSI (2.3 adults rating) were all down by modest percentages -- despite a double digit drop in key demo usage from last Wednesday.
X Factor also dropped on the typically low-rated night for TV, taking a 22 percent hit from last Wednesday to a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49. The two-hour performance episode also averaged 7.2 million viewers.

Before encores of Modern Family and Suburgatory and a special Private Practice (1.0 adults rating), ABC aired its second of three annual Charlie Brown specials. And on the heels of the strong showing at Halloween, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was up 22 percent from last year to pull a 2.2 rating with 18-49-ers. The network averaged a 1.5 rating in the demo and 5.5 million viewers.
Whitney and Guys With Kids, both pulling a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49, were down 21 and 15 percent from last week's episodes. Law & Order: SVU (1.3 adults rating) was down 24 percent, while Chicago Fire (1.4 adults) only fell 13 percent. NBC averaged a 1.3 adults rating and 4.8 million viewers.
The CW aired the John Candy and Steve Martin holiday film Planes, Trains and Automobiles to the tune of a 0.5 adults rating and 1.7 million viewers.
Univision had a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49.
No original episodes from Wednesday night will contribute to their Nielsen season average.
