Paula Abdul Reuniting With MC Skat Kat on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

When Paula Abdul returns to Dancing With the Stars during Tuesday's results show, she won't be alone.

The singer, dancer and recent guest judge says her performance of a four-song medley will include a familiar face: MC Skat Kat, the animated feline who co-starred in her 1989 music video for "Opposites Attract."

"Someone is coming out of retirement," Adbul teased backstage after Monday's episode. "I've been rehearsing with him, and I can't understand his dance moves. He's all over the place. I told him he needs to get some rhythm because I can't keep up."

Despite the notes of sarcasm, she's not joking. A rep for Abdul confirms that the cartoon cat will be making a "small" appearance during the show.

The performance coincides with the Tuesday iTunes release of Abdul's "Dream Medley," a mix of four of her biggest hits: “Straight Up,” “Cold Hearted,” “Forever Your Girl” and “Opposites Attract."

Adbul's return so quickly after her stint as a judge also sparks some questions about her interest in possibly joining the series on a more regular basis. (A veteran judge of American Idol and The X Factor, it wouldn't be outside her wheelhouse.) But when asked about the prospects of a full time gig, she remained diplomatically coy.

"I've had so much fun on this show," said Abdul, "I'd help clean the dressing rooms."
