Lifetime has picked up new reality series Teen Trouble, hosted by teen behavior specialist Josh Shipp. The hourlong series will launch 10 p.m. Dec. 28.
Each episode will feature troubled families desperate to save their out-of-control teens with Shipp serving as their last hope. He gives them the help they need to avoid tragedy. Shipp will embed himself into the hidden lives of at-risk teens on self-destructive paths, like taking drugs, stealing, alcohol abuse and breaking the law.
Lifetime has picked up eight episodes, produced by Ellen Rakieten Entertainment, a division of RelativityREAL. Ellen Rakieten (The Oprah Winfrey Show, Losing it with Jillian) will executive produce with Bryn Freedman (Intervention, Who Do You Think You Are?) and Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy, Stephen H. Schwartz and Sandy Varo of Lifetime.
