Robert Pattinson Annoyed by R-Patz Nickname (Video)

OMG! OMG! What's going on with R-Patz and K-Stew?

K-Who?

For those not versed in Twilight fan lingo, those abbreviated monikers stand for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, the film franchise's stars and on-again, off-again, possibly on-again real-life couple.

When asked for his opinion on the Today show Thursday morning, Pattinson seemed to consider the nickname a personal affront.

"I don't understand what the nickname culture is," said R-Patz, er Pattinson. "If I could figure out a way to get rid of that, it'd be amazing. It does sound like an antacid tablet."

VIDEO: Kristen Stewart on Robert Pattinson Relationship: 'Keep Them Guessing'

The quick-to-laugh, bumbling Brit is deep in the promotional circuit ahead of the release of the Twilight saga's final installment, Breaking Dawn -- Part 2, next Friday. He joked to Savannah Guthrie: "I'm retiring." And he gently deflected her question on the status of his relationship with Stewart by adopting the actress' response to Guthrie a day earlier. "Keep them guessing," he echoed, turning the tables on Guthrie.

"I want to ask, because we get asked that all the time," he continued, on the defense. "It's like, 'Who is actually asking?' Is it in your contract? ... It doesn't have to be (personal). It only because personal if you answer it."
