CBS will air Elementary following Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3, 2013.
The freshman drama starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu will air at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST after the postgame coverage. Thus far this season, the modern take on Sherlock Holmes ranks as the No. 2 drama this fall, behind CBS' Vegas.
Earlier this year, NBC scheduled the second season premiere of The Voice in the plumb time slot, with 37.6 million total viewers tuning in (and 16.3 million in the coveted adults 18-49 demo).

In 2011, Fox aired a special football-themed episode of Glee, with CBS in 2010 launching Undercover Boss. Other scripted series to land the prime real estate have included The Office, House, Criminal Minds andGrey's Anatomy.
Beyonce will headline the New Orleans game's halftime show, which this year featured Madonna, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and M.I.A.
CBS will broadcast the game live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 3.
