According to In Touch, Jennifer Lopez is keeping Casper Smart on a short leash with a pricey gift.
J. Lo allegedly wants her new beau “to sever all ties with his former girlfriends,” surprising him with a “$10,000 cell phone and, of course, a new number!”
Huh?
A so-called “friend” tells the tabloid that Lopez isn’t comfortable with the fact that Smart “stayed on good terms” with previous partners, leading her to buy him a “tricked-out” Vertu phone.
“Jennifer is very insecure when it comes to Casper. She strong-armed him into cutting all ties with his former girlfriends, and this is a way to keep tabs on him,” explains the In Touch source.
Riiight.
We’re not sure who the mag’s insiders are on these Lopez-Smart articles – or why tabloids in general seem fixated on “$10,000″ when it comes to the couple – but they’re wrong.
The “American Idol” judge never gave Smart the crazy-expensive gift for gabbing.
A rep for Lopez tells Gossip Cop the story is “inaccurate.”
