"TGIF" might be the magic word for ABC.
The network launched its new Friday comedy block last night to solid results, driving Shark Tank to a record high in the process. Last Man Standing opened its second season with a 1.9 rating with adults 18-49 before Malibu Country raked in a 2.2 with adults at 8:30 p.m. The strong hour led into a new high for Shark Tank, a 2.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers. 20/20 was up a tenth of a point for a 1.5 rating in the demo, and ABC had a decisive win for the night with a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.04 million viewers.

Undercover Boss returned to CBS with a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, besting the performance CSI:NY had in the slot earlier this season. CSI:NY had an even 1.5 rating with adults 18-49, while Blue Bloods was down two tenths of a point to a 1.3 adults rating. The network averaged a 1.4 rating with 18-49-ers and 9.6 million viewers.
NBC's Sandy Telethon averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49, before Grimm dropped two tenths of a point from last week for a 1.8 rating in the demo. A Revolution encore aired at 10 p.m., giving NBC a 1.4 adults average and 5.3 million viewers for the night.

Fox was at a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers over the two-hour Friday block. Kitchen Nightmares was up one tenth of a point from its season premiere to a 1.0 adults rating, before a new Fringe pulled a 1.0 rating, posting the same growth.
On the CW, America's Next Top Model had an even 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 and Nikita got a small bump to 0.4 rating as well. The network averaged 1.2 million viewers.
