USA Network is shutting the door on police drama Common Law, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Common Law ran for one season on the cable network, averaging roughly 2.1 million viewers.
The hourlong drama centered on two cops who enter into couples therapy.
"I can confirm to those who have asked that we are not renewing Common Law. Thanks to all the fans who watched and expressed their support," wrote USA's svp research Ted Linhart on Twitter.
The news comes just days after series star Warren Kole, who played LAPD officer Wes Mitchell opposite Michael Ealy, nabbed a recurring role on Fox's midseason drama The Following from Kevin Williamson. Sarah Shahi, star of another USA property Fairly Legal, recently snagged a major part in sister network NBC's Chicago Fire.
There has been no update on whether Greg Berlanti's Political Animals and Fairly Legal would be returning. USA will be debuting Jeff Eastin's new scripted drama Graceland next summer, and has several unscripted shows slated for 2013 launches.
