Though time zone adjustments for game one of the World Series between the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants won't come through until later in the morning, fast affiliate returns give a decisive win among adults 18-49 for Fox.
CBS and ABC shared second place status, each averaging a 2.7 rating with adults 18-49.

Survivor kicked off the night on CBS, steady with last week's 2.2 rating with adults 18-49. Criminal Minds, down a tenth of a point, posted a 3.0 rating with 18-49. At 10 p.m., CSI was up four percent to a 2.4 adults rating, beating out its scripted competition from Nashville and Chicago Code. The network averaged 10.5 million viewers.
ABC aired an even episode of The Middle (2.5 adults rating) before a slightly boosted Neighbors (up a tenth of a point to a 2.0 adults rating). Modern Family was also up, four percent, to a 4.9 rating with adults 19-49 -- making it the night's strongest performer. Suburgatory was down four percent to a 2.7 adults rating, before a steady Nashville (2.0 adults rating). ABC brought in 8.1 million viewers.

Animal Practice, not long for this world, was up nine percent to a 1.2 adults rating. Guys With Kids was down seven percent, posting a 1.3 in the demo. Law & Order: SVU grew 13 percent to a 1.8 adults rating, while Chicago Fire (1.8) jumped 20 percent and narrowed its gap with fellow freshman Nashville. NBC averaged a 1.6 rating in the demo and 5.6 million viewers.
Arrow finally lost some of its retained premiere haul. The CW freshman was down two tenths of a point to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49. Supernatural, also down, posted a 0.7 adults rating. The network averaged a 0.9 adults rating and 2.7 million viewers.
