Jane Fonda could be going from HBO to ABC.

The Oscar winner is attached to star in Now What? a single-camera comedy in development at the network, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Pushing Daisies writer Abby Gewanter will pen the project, with Mike Tollin and Ben Spector (The Wedding Band) on board as executive producers; 2 Broke Girls' Scott Ellis would direct and exec produce the ABC Studios project alongside FremantleMedia North America.

Now What? follows a woman who takes to her blog to criticize her mother in a post titled "Dear Mom, Here's Why I Hate You." Fonda would play the mother, who winds up moving in with her daughter until the duo can mend their relationship.

The project comes after Fonda recurred on HBO's Aaron Sorkin drama The Newsroom and ahead of her turn as Nancy Reagan in Lee Daniels' drama The Butler.

The Fonda vehicle marks the latest star-driven project this development season. CBS has given a put-pilot commitment to Shawn Ryan's Beverly Hills Cop adaptation, which counts Eddie Murphy as a star and executive producer. The network also is circling a single-camera comedy from David E. Kelley starring Robin Williams.
