Angelina Jolie “doesn’t want to get married” to Brad Pitt, reports In Touch.
The tabloid claims that six months after the couple got engaged, “their household is far from abuzz with excitement over impending nuptials.”
“Angelina has no intention of marrying Brad anytime soon,” a “source” tells the magazine. “When people bring it up she rolls her eyes.”
In Touch explains that Jolie’s “virtual refusal to commit to her big day” is a “tough blow” for Pitt, who’d been trying to organize a wedding before the end of the year.
The mag’s source says, “Angie put the kibosh on it. All she cares about is work. It’s her No. 1 priority.”
According to In Touch, Jolie’s various Hollywood and humanitarian obligations have made scheduling a ceremony impossible.
“Judging by her attitude, I doubt a wedding will ever happen,” laments the outlet’s “insider.”
This seems to be the Brangelina rumor of the week, considering Life & Style ran an almost identical story about Jolie disappointing Pitt by “dragging her heels” on marriage.
But just like that bit of overheated speculation, the In Touch piece is wrong.
As Gossip Cop keeps saying, there’s NEVER been a wedding date set, and the couple NEVER indicated plans to marry before the end of the year.
There’s been no delay or disagreement between Pitt and Jolie in terms of a timetable for marriage.
In Touch lives in a fantasy world in which the couple purportedly got secretly married in France in 2011.
Its “sources” knew nothing about Pitt and Jolie’s wedding plans then, and nothing’s changed.
Gossip Cop is assured by our own sources close to the couple that there’s been no tension whatsoever over the eventual nuptials.
