Kanye West paid Twitter tribute to the late Steve Jobs on Friday, one day after having deleted all of his tweets and seemingly taking a break from the social media platform.

On Thursday, the rapper and frequent Twitter ranter erased his entire tweet history and announced, “BE BACK SOON,” leading fans to speculate that he’d quit the service.

But West was back by late Friday, honoring the anniversary of the death of Jobs, the Apple founder and technology visionary.

“We lost Steve a year ago today…” began West.

The performer continued, “He is one of the most inspiring and influential human beings of our existence along with Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, and Dr. King.”

“Let’s be thankful for his life and respect his legacy by never compromising on our future,” concluded West.

And just like that, West disappeared once more.
