On October 8th, Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner will take a specialized weather balloon 23 miles above the surface of the Earth and skydive back to the surface, in an insane attempt to break the highest skydive record, set in 1960 by Joseph Kittenger.
During the jump, Baumgartner will become the first skydiver to break the speed of sound with his body. He hopes to land in New Mexico.
