Here is the nightmarish appearance of this rare Burmese snub-nosed monkey. These recent pictures, taken in Myanmar, mark the first time the species has ever been photographed living; the only other time it’s been professionally photographed is after it was killed.
Conservationists estimate only 300 are living.
