Billie Joe Armstrong was rushed to the hospital over the weekend, forcing Green Day to cancel a concert in Italy.
The frontman’s band mates, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool, released a short video message explaining that Armstrong was hospitalized “due to illness.”

They apologized to fans for the cancellation, but provided no additional information about the cause of Armstrong’s hospitalization.
Green Day is slated to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday.
