Bill Nye is the latest victim of a death hoax.
The sick rumor was started on Twitter late Sunday until a “R.I.P. Bill Nye The Science Guy” topic began trending, which in turn spawned thousands of messages mourning his supposed death.
It is 100% false.
Nye is NOT dead.
As has happened with celebrities like Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift this summer, a social media rumor got out of hand and falsely “killed” Nye.
Nye was also falsely rumored to have died TWICE last year.
Gossip Cop has said it before and we’ll say it again: It’s time for these awful hoaxes to die out.
