“It seems Chris Brown could be single again,” begins another ridiculously stupid post from HollywoodLife, which notes how the singer “posted a picture on Twitter that looked like he was striking up a romantic connection with sexy Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman!”
The webloid, which is often embarrassingly wrong, adds that Brown pointed out Iman was “beautiful” in a tweet — uh, she’s a model — and “posted a picture of him getting close with Chanel.”
HollywoodLife, which has begun to make Perez Hilton look like Walter Cronkite, goes on gush, “It looks like the pair may have struck up a romantic connection,” before asking whether Brown’s “girlfriend Karrueche Tran got kicked to the curb in order to make room for another model?”
Of course, rather than just manufacturing stories about Brown, HollywoodLife could spend another, say, 30 seconds fact-checking.
But it almost never does.
Regardless, Brown “is with Tran,” his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
And if searching Twitter is HollywoodLife’s only mode for finding “stories,” they must have missed Tran’s repeatedly tweeting to her followers the last few days about buying Brown’s new album, “Fortune.”
