“Is this the beginning of a royal love triangle, or is Prince William just jealous of his dashing younger brother, Harry?” asks Star magazine.
Um… what?
The tabloid explains, “On June 5, following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration, William reprimanded his bride for what he thought was ‘painfully embarrassing’ inappropriate behavior between Kate and Harry!”
Star goes on to say that Harry and his sister-in-law were “particularly cozy during the royal balcony appearance, laughing and sharing observations.”
Is this story for real?
The magazine is actually suggesting that Princess Kate and Prince Harry “sharing observations” while being watched by millions and millions of people is tantamount to a dangerous flirtation?
Yep, that’s what Star is saying.
“William told Kate it was flirting and that it wasn’t appropriate,” claims the magazine, adding that William’s complaint led to a “blowup between the newlyweds.”
A so-called “source” explains, “In Kate’s mind, for William to suggest that was absurd. In the past, Kate would have agreed with William and apologized, but instead she fired right back at him and that took him by surprise.”
Oh, so that’s how Star is going to get around the imbecility of this entire premise: The magazine is going to pretend William was silly to think Kate and Harry were flirting.
Star then mentions that William thinks Kate “needs to act more regal.”
The tabloid writes, “As if the young duchess needed any more pressure to act the part at public events, royal watchers are sure to scrutinize every interaction between Kate and Harry from here on out.”
Actually, Gossip Cop thinks Star is the one in need of scrutiny.
For instance: Almost exactly two years ago, the tabloid ran a bogus cover story that claimed Kate was pregnant.
It was completely made up, because Star has absolutely no clue what’s going on with the royal family.
The pattern holds with this latest nonsense.
Sources tell Gossip Cop the idea that William challenged Kate over her “flirting” with Harry is “as preposterous as it sounds.”
